  1. Happy Wednesday

    Well good evening all, I've had a good day today. I finished making the date nut torte. The frosting part (soaked dates and lemon juice) is incredibly good! It really tasted like lemon frosting! My walnuts weren't that fresh, but the recipe turned out decently. I will definately take some advice and cut the recipies in half when I first try them.

    I ate a nice dinner, but I am still without raw cashews, and I am now out of dates. Those are usually my staple! I dont want to havta to ...

  2. Almost caved today

    Hello all, well today was the first time in two weeks that I've been raw that I actually got really tired in the mid afternoon, while in class! I'm not sure what it was all about, but I have tried eating a little lighter the past two days. I tried Alissa's recipe that I saw on her video of the portabello mushroom with guacamole. I bought some fresh fresh quac from Whole Food, but didn't realize it was soooooo spicy hot! So I only managed to eat 1/2 the mushroom. It honestly wasnt something I'd eat ...

  3. Morning ALL!

    Well, I got to bed last night again at 2am, and woke up this morning at 11:45am! It feels good to sleep in. I'm usually up at 7 or 8.

    I had a smoothie this morning that I made yesterday and froze, with banana, coconut water, honey, and some other fruits. It was gooood!

    Now I am off to go power walking for a half hour or so. It's a chilly 51 degrees outside but I'll warm up!

    I am stocked up with fruits, but might need to pick up some more spinach. ...

  4. 2 weeks down!

    Hello all,

    Well the day is almost over, and I have successfully been raw for two weeks! (i did have a seafood stew dinner for my anniversary dinner on dec 1st, and a personal pizza on nov 26th though, but I am committed 100% now)

    I just found this forum today as I was able to borrow Alissa Cohen's book and DVD from a friend. This seems like a great forum with lots of information that I am seeking about being raw! This is just my first week. I've been about 98% so far. I do think I am eating a bit too many nuts, seeds, and dates, and not enough greens. I am good with the fruit. Certain veggies are quite bitter to me, so its hard to eat a lot. I like carrots, spinach, cauliflower, and a few other raw veggies. I bought a few ...
