When I cut out pop and Coffee, my hubby kept drinking it so it was in the house. I thought I would sip occasionally, but honestly I didn't. I haven't had any in years...and I don't miss it at all. You'll get there! You WILL!!!

If the thoughts are still there, tell yourself WHY you are giving it up. If you have a strong enough "WHY" it will motivate you! :

I'm so glad you are back! How have you been? Any game plan for today? I have none myself except to stock up on lots of raw to help motivate me! I'm so envious! An Excalibur! You lucky girl! Merry Christmas. (((HUGS)))

Congrats on the Excalibur. I love mine. You will love yours too!

I think you should report the harrasser to the site management. That's not kewl! We all have our process of learning and flowing with what works for each one of us it's not all the same for everyone.

I have an excalibur on my christmas wish list but the budget is tight this year so maybe after the holidays - you will have to let me know how you like yours!

BTW I agree with Rawlight on contacting one of the moderators - No one should avoid this site due to the improper actions of another.

This is a very personal issue. There is nothing wrong with exchanging information, but harassing emails are wrong. You might want to email the moderators.

    And congrats about the dehydrator!!

Oh, one more tip--bars. I like goraw bars better than larabars because they are not very sweet and also because they have more seeds and aren't nut-heavy.

I felt the same when I started raw. I finally began to make enormous salads with all the heavier foods I could find, including scoops of nut pates. It helped a lot. Then I discovered blender soups, which I still have quite often and they are sooo filling. I add spinach to them, too, just like a smoothie. Another filling snack is a banana with a spoonful of nut butter on every bite. IOW, find the most filling, satisfying foods you can and eat substantial amounts of them. It's odd but true that you get to where you want less, but only if you can feel that satisfied feeling when you need to.

I love the goraw cereal....haven't tried the others yet. I'm making my own grawnola today. I've been sprouting the oat groats and buckwheat for 2 days now. I don't see any sprouts. but, I've been rinsing them them every few hours. soaking sunflower seeds right now and will make the grawnola and put in the dehydrater today. There's recipes on goraw.com and renegadehealth.com

In the beginning I binged on nuts alot and still can btw. (Fruit and nuts) I think this is normal. We are looking for that full feeling and nuts provide that. I found I feel best when I eat a big salad with lots of different kinds of veggies and put avocado (fat-filling) and sunflower seeds.

The more consistant you get with raw the easier it will get. When I eat non-raw it triggers the binge thing in me. Non-raw is so full of preservatives, additives, and chemicals that are actually addicting and create cravings. Crazy huh?

You are doing great. Just keep ADDing in more RAW. It's a process. You are moving in the right direction.

You can buy raw cereal - I like these:
Lydia's Organics, Go Raw, and Kookie Karma
Love Force makes a good raw "bread"

I also like having greens with my fruit. Sometimes I will slice up and apple, pear, or banana, and then roll it in a green (chard, romaine, and collard greens work well). It's a nice way alternative to a smoothie.

Nayeli, may I suggest that you try my favorite take on raw cereal? First make pineapple/cashew cream. (that's just raw cashews soaked for at least 6 hours, drain and rinse...then add to a blender with plenty of fresh pineapple. blend this smooth and creamy and put in the fridge over night.) Take about a tablespoon or so of this cream and put it in a cereal bowl. Add enough water to thin it to milk consistency. ;)
Take about a 1/2 cup of soaked then dehydrated buckwheat, a handful of raisins, 2 medjool dates diced into little pieces, a handful of raw almonds and drizzle with agave. WOW! It tastes amazingly like a kashi cereal and is so wicked sweet, filling and just plan yummy you will forget that you are raw! Second, whenever I start raw...I gravitate towards sweet tastes too. If you look at my blog you will notice mostly fruits and nuts. But I awoke this morning wanting...actually craving greens. Ended up eating 4 cups of them. Give yourself a break! You are doing great. (((HUGS)))

For me I find the more fruits I eat the more I want to eat so I try and balance my diet out with greens. I start my day out of with about 4 cups of a green smoothie (I have a vitamix that has a 4 cup container so I will fill it with 2 handfulls of baby spinach, a scoop full of Alissa's green powder, 1 banana and then some kind of frozen fruit- like mango, pineapple, grapes....whatever I have on hand) That can keep me full for hours, I will then eat fruit until lunch time , after that it is mostly greens and veggies.

Just keep trying - you will find a combo that is right for you.

sounds like a great day! Congrats on the new job - woo hoo!

I like your attitude. You aren't beating yourself up for the stuff that wasn't raw. Aren't grapes great in smoothies? I think they are great when adding greens as their sweetness covers up the greens' stronger flavor sometimes -depending on what you choose.
