    I didn’t realize until I started this blog how many ups and downs I have. Sometimes a minor upset can throw me, as it did last week. Sometimes, like this week, deeper issues upset the apple cart.

  3. Ups and downs

    I ingested almost 3,700 calories yesterday. Except for my green smoothie, it was complete garbage. Another red-letter day for the Baileys.

    Better today, even with 700 calories of pastry. At least I had some real food today. Feeling more on an even keel.

    My recovery friend gave me her OA friend’s phone number today. I spoke to the OA member briefly and she advised me of a very good meeting on Saturday mornings. That time works well, since I like to hibernate after work ...

  4. I need to recover

    After a successful weekend and Monday, I am struggling again. Though raw calories typically “don’t count,” I haven’t been raw since Monday (Tuesday—3,400 calories; Wednesday—2,000 calories [and counting]).

  5. 90% raw day

    Another good day. The only NR has been a few organic pretzels and tea with organic soy milk.

    I’ve been thinking about my last binge cycle. It was triggered by unforeseen stress and prolonged by a trigger or two. Obviously, there’s no way to predict what’s unforeseen or when a trigger gets set off, so perhaps I should accept that these things happen and take them in stride. I just wish I could do more “damage control” (as they call it in Weight Watchers)—i.e., get back on the wagon ...
