  2. StarFire reflections

Star's latest blog entry prompts me to share this Jungian quote I saw in a Yoga Journal ad last night:

"I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become."

He doesn't say "I am what I choose to be"--like it's all here in this moment. Rather it's about becoming--unfolding--giving birth. Hence my ref to Star's blog today (thanx, Star!).

Also in the current issue of Yoga Journal, I highly recommend the helpful advice column about

  3. Un-Progress Report!

I was hit with a MAJOR personal crisis last week. So, again, my food choices have been predominantly unhealthy as a result. Am just beginning to get my sea legs back, thankfully. Plan to add-in (see previous entry) more good stuff this afternoon/tonight.

  4. Still here--sort of

My food intake hasn't been, shall we say, healthy this week. Actually, that's putting it mildly.

Been dealing with assorted crises and issues, and the first thing that goes out the window (for me) is self-care. I know: Not good, and the last thing I need when the going gets tough. That's where I am right now, though.

Thankfully, have been able to attend a couple of OA meetings. They keep me from getting my head too far up my hiney, which is a good thing.

  5. Still working on my issues

OMG, last week was such a disaster. My birthday always depresses me, and it fell on Friday. That, and a HUGE basket of Halloween "poison" at the office--not a good combination. I gained back almost all the weight I lost last month.

Oh, well--live and learn. Perhaps next year I'll take off Halloween week so I won't be surrounded by temptation when I'm feeling low. I do that for Christmas week every year too. Thankfully, my company has a generous vacation policy.
