he ate it again last night and it smelled quite nice! I think they must have had fresh oil in the fryer.

I know what your national dish is - hahaha!

Cooked foods (fried foods especially) turn my stomach when I am being strictly raw. It's a good indication that foods like that are not fit for human consumption. I think cooked fooders may associate those gross smells with the high-calorie gains that they receive from them. Therefore, they come to enjoy the smell of cat food and rancid fatty potatoes. The brain knows it got lots of calories that way before so it tells you it smell is good. Dirty trick, I'd say.

stick with soft fruits until you get that bm. it's very important that you have one before moving on to more complex-to-digest foods.

I ate a tomato last night and grapes this morning. BM not fussed to show up so I had salad a little while ago. I won't eat again today though. I'm full.

I know. Now you know why I love to fast. It feels sooooooooo good.

When you break... choose one soft fruit to break with. Wait for a bowel movement (this will probably happen within the hour) and then you can have another fruit if you wish. If it's melon make sure it's really ripe.

I'm having and olfactory awakening week I think. One of the blokes at work was having cat food sandwiches the other day - at least that's what they smelled like! It's not like I've never smelt these things before. It's just that they are grossing me out much more than usual.

There is the Monday fasting thread here. I joined it when it started but never fasted but I hope to fast every Monday now.

Oh that's interesting! ...I am going to start phasing in intermittent fasting (fast 5)! I do feel way better eating less!

thanks banana, I feel odd tbh. Mentally I feel good in terms of mood. Quite weary but have had 1.5 pints yummy juice today. Hoping to do juice til Monday night, smoothies til Friday night and then solid raw on Sat and Sun. Then water on Monday, juice Tue and Wed, smoothies Thur and Fri, solid raw Sat and Sun. Rinse and repeat.

    Hi Mystic...good job!!!

I hope you feel better for it! ...I have not read your other days, so don't know, but after this weekend, I will hopefully have some more time for raw/raw board fun and will catch up.

That is a great accomplishment. :)

One day at a time is always the best way to do a water fast.

just a quick addition. I have lost 7 pounds since same time Monday morning. Not bad for two days though my primary purpose is to get me back into raw. Some of this is water but ketosis has kicked in so some fat burning is taking place too. Trousers are looser :)
