Did a bit of a weekly shop this morning though money is tight so it was a very careful spend and it was strange walking up and down the aisles and wondering why people eat so much rubbish. I didn't crave as I passed the chocolate aisle or the biscuits or cheese or pates or any of the things that I used to eat.

I am so content with raw. I am turned off the foods I used to eat and really can't imagine ever eating any of them again. This is both a little scary but also amazingly liberating.

A young hedgehog has moved into one of the hens nesting boxes. He or she is an absolute sweetie and it's very exciting to think it might be a female looking for a nest.

Hedgehogs are very lucky animals in my family and very much associated with my late father so it is always lovely to see them.

The hens don't seem to mind it but I shall have to keep the dog away - not because she will kill it but she wants it to play with her
