Georgina's Raw Journey

I have never liked sweetcorn mixed in with foods because as I grew up I never liked any other corn than either raw, eaten direct from the cob or cooked, eaten direct from the cob.

Tinned was revolting, frozen wasn't good and the taste of these types of corn pervaded the whole meal if mixed in.

This evening I have added corn - cut from the cob by me - into my salad and I am loving it. I dare say it breaks a food combining rule somewhere but I don't care!

I have mixed feelings. It was a young starling I think and I feel sad for the bird but I also feel rather proud of my 10 year old cat and her first catch - proud that she learnt how to do a cat thing. Mostly she does sleeping and eating and then maybe a bit more sleeping. Ho-hum - on with the day.

Hooping this evening with a glass of watermelon juice on the side.

Pre-raw I had a painful and very heavy and long bleed.

The first one on raw was just after I started eating raw again and it was dreadful. Worse than ever before and I wanted to die.

The second one was much better. Still quite heavy but fewer days. Still very painful.

This one is less heavy but not light. Painful but not enough to want pain-killers and I have yet to discover how long it will last.

I went back to the shop first thing. It's a 5 mile drive and the roads are like rivers with the rain.

All they had were regular watermelons that were about a third the size of the one I bought last week.

I'm so annoyed that the one time it looks like there is a good deal coming up for a raw foodie the suppliers/shop move the goal post.

I wanted another melon of the same variety (and even at full price) and that was what I was promised. All there was on ...

Twice I have been to the shop that sells the sublime watermelons and twice there has been a sign for them but no melons. Twice I have asked and twice I have been told they will be in tomorrow.

When I was told this for the second time I did ask if they actually meant the same tomorrow that I understand as tomorrow and they said yes tomorrow cos the half price offer starts tomorrow.

I don't care about half price ... I just want those same melons grown by the same farmer ...
