  1. Frustrations

    I am having a very stressful day! I cannot get my blood pressure down regardless of what I do and it is really frustrating! I quit taking my blood pressure medicine because I know that it was NOT doing me any good health-wise. I weaned myself off the pills and haven't taken any for almost two weeks. I do not have any physical reason for it to stay high!

  2. Continuing to lose weight

    When I stood on the scales this morning and it read 177! I was a bit concerned because I had eaten 3 cooked meals with fresh salmon and fresh halibut and fresh cooked veggies recently, but I still am losing weight! I have made it to almost the 50 pounds lost category! Even with the few times eating cooked foods, I still am at least 90% raw and doing very well.

  3. Our Trip into the Interior of Alaska

    Vern and I made it home from the interior somewhere around 1:30 this morning. The trip was very good overall. We spent the first night at a motel in Wasilla and then headed north. The weather was cloudy and cool. We got into Nenana around 5 or so and then drove on up to Fairbanks and North Pole to visit with Vern's brother and his family.

  4. A mini-vactaion

    I will be gone for a few days as my husband and I are heading into the interior. We will be staying in Nenana (most of the flooding has abated) and then go up to Fairbanks and Salcha before heading home via the Richardson Highway. It will definitely be a round trip of over 1000 miles! We should be home on the night of the tenth.

  5. Health Up-Date

    It has been a while since I have blogged and I need/want to get everything up-dated. Yesterday, my husband and I with a couple of his friends drove to Hope, Alaska. The day was cool and mostly cloudy. They were getting ready to bike over the Resurrection Trail and had left their vehicle at the other end.
