  1. the challenges of detox while nursing

today has been a super challenging day. I think I'm starting to "detox" and whenever I feel it starting or feel symptoms I freak out and eat cooked food because I don't want my babies getting toxic crap in their systems. I know moms lose weight all the time when they are nursing....but I think this is much more than losing weight. I think it is my body cleaning shop. I'm frustrated and disappointed. A part of me thinks now is not the time to attempt this, but I've always been of the ...

  2. nausea yesterday, feeling better today

Yesterday afternoon I got a sudden bout of nausea as I stated in my post yesterday. I'm feeling better today. I was full of doubts yesterday as I was going through that. The ONLY thing that made me feel better was saltine crackers and gingerbrew. So, it was not a 100% day. I ended up eating a cooked dinner w/ my family. But the nauseous feeling went away immediately. I'm not beating myself up about it, and I'm not down about it, just looking at the experience with interest. I really don't ...

  3. why am I doing this?

I decided to write down my thoughts on why I am doing raw. I'll only have little snippets of time here and there today, so hopefully by the end of the day I'll have my thoughts down. If not, there is always tomorrow.

  4. my eyes feel weird

I don't know what about raw makes my eyes feel weird, but they feel very full and lubricated and vibrant. Colors seem so much more vivid and I can see more detail and it's in general clearer. I've been 75-80% percent raw for over a month now and that is one of the first changes I noticed. We went camping a few weeks ago and I ate SAD with my family on our trip (5 days). One of the first things I noticed when going back to eating "normal" food was that my eyes seemed dried out and they ...

  5. September Challenge

I have just joined the September challenge and boy am I nervous! I have mixed feelings about whether or not this is sustainable and right for me at this time in my life. But I can do anything for 30 days and food is just food. It's just food. So I'll be fine.

My husband doesn't understand this desire in me so it's difficult w/out his support. And I'm not ready to raise raw kids just yet. So it's just me living in a SAD world eeking out my own way of eating and being.
