bellamausi--I find that the days I just juice and have fruit or smoothies are days I get the most benefit from my food--psychologically and physically. It means every choice is good, not a choice between good and bad. Hate that dichotomy, anyway! Will you be posting while you're away?

Honey Chile, you know I KNOW what you're going through!!! Just check my blog right under yours!!! I've been on this roller coaster wit ya girl!!! A Green Smoothie Day is Good, if that's truly what you want. It'll keep you full and satisfied, but make sure you drink plenty of water, too. And, don't hang around the kitchen!!! (((HUGS)))

I think there would be a problem shipping them in the summer, they'd get really soft, and probably loose their shape. It could be a winter only edition!

I showed my husband the pizza picture (because I thought it look yummy). He said:"Eww, there's worms on it!!"

Maybe you should market that fruit and nut bar. I'd buy it!

Oh, it sounds so great. And what a good time of year for weather! My last two European trips have been in early fall. If you keep it simple, you should be able to eat well and have fun, too!

Ha! My husband agrees to ... sometimes. LOL. And sometimes, when he starts to give me a hard time, I remind him of "back in the day" when he would have to do the silly exercises to me to help my gas escape. Ha! And had every problem under the sun, it seemed. That brings him back to the supportive side. :) A month?! That's swell, he must agree it makes sense!

Bring back some of the recipes. I miss my German food as well, and I'm sure Austrian and German food isn't that different, specially since I'm from Southern Germany.

No, my husband is not raw at the moment. He actually has attempted it before. He managed over a month, but right now, he's not ready for it. But he agrees, and always has, that eating raw food just makes sense! ;)

Wow, that's so great!!! And that is also great that your kids have always been raw!!! (Whew, sorry for the excessive exclamation points there). I'm going to be on the lookout for your pointers on that because my husband and I are planning to get moving in the baby department early next year. And we have so many conversations about them being raw. He's not.

Is your husband raw?? (Ha, assumption there, I guess you might not be married.)

I will be leaving from the Vienna airport, but we are staying with my parents (in the house I grew up in), which is located just 15 minutes south of the Czech Rep. border. Arriving, we will be in the newly established airport in Linz.

My dad is an electronic freak, and has all the converters I could ever want, lol. Plus I have already brought the bullet once, to prepare food for my two kids, since they have always been raw.

And yes, we'll bring lots of fruit, even planning on dehydrated soup mix.

How fantastic!!! Are you going to be in Vienna or the countryside? How long will you be there?

If you are bringing the Magic Bullet, don't forget you will also need to bring a plug and energy adaptor!

You can bring fresh fruit to travel with, trail mix is good (sprouted + dehydrated buckwheat is great in that!)... Hmmmm... That's all I can think of at the moment. You can get fresh foods while you're out there!

    Anyways, have fun!

Oh gee, I have done that before, putting frozen veggies in warm water to defrost! I must have had a brain block today, lol! And we don't have a WF nearby, so I will have to find out, which brand does not blanch their frozen veggies.

bella--your bread looks amazing! for the peas, I just put them in a strainer and run a little warm water over. same for corn. WF says they don't blanch their veggies before they freeze them, so I've been using their brand. oh, and the recipe for pea soup that I knew I'd seen somewhere? it was in Alissa's book!
  17. Emma-Liza's Avatar
Sounds like a fun creative day! the best kind!:) Can't wait to hear how the bread turned out!

For me, it's not so much that the food is cooked, it's that it is so very filling! And I miss that full feeling! But really, all the other good feelings (truly good as in healthy) ahve come from eating raw. On another topic-- Encouraged by your Good4U experience, I've also got one on the way! I've got sooo many things to look forward to trying! such as waffles!
