  1. Olive Oil

I am just in love with olive oil at the moment! Right now, I"m eating green beans, that have been marinated overnight in olive oil and salt ..... lots of olive oil!

I've also been chowing down on leavy green salads with olive oil, vinegar and salt dressing. Yum! My daughter loves them as well.

My husband needed his salad made up in a different bowl, because he couldn't handle the amount of olive oil, lol!

    I've also been marinating a colorful lentil/mung ...

  2. Terrible salad bar

That really did it for me, never again. We went shopping to our next biggest city today, and had lunch at Sizzler. Wow, the salad bar was just terrible!!! It is so not worth the money! Iceberg lettuce, no other leafy greens! I realized how much I love my dark leafy greens!

The oil and vinegar was tasteless, probably not raw. I had two big platefuls of salad, and left hungry! Never again!

Plus it was not the right time for me to be sitting in a restaurant that serves ...

  3. My first transformed raw recipe!

I did it! It took a few days to figure out how I would be able to transform my all time favorite sad stew into a raw one, but I did it!

It is sooo good! It smells like, it tastes like it. It fills your tummy up, and since it's a bit spicy, it warms you up! Granted it has a raw twist to it, but I am so happy with how it turned out!

    Here it is!

  4. Clover Smoothie

Today is my husband and my 9th day 100% raw! We are both reading Victoria Boutenko's book, 12 Steps to Raw Foods. It is ringing so true for me now! I read it about 5 years ago, and it didn't have much of an impact on me, but this time, is much different. I am at a different place in my raw journey, and can identify with everything she says, so hopefully this will help us stay raw.

So since our budget is tight until next Tuesday, and I wanted to make a green smoothie, I went out into ...

  5. So happy to be raw!

Yay! I am! I am always happy when I go raw, but the addiction to sad foods has always gotten the better of me in the end.

Today is my husband and my 5th day raw! Whooo!

We are dropping off my dad at the airport today. He's been visiting from Austria for a month now. He will be missed, he blends in well into our household (except for not being raw, but he's open to it).

On our way back, we'll be able to stop at a Trader Joe's! I'm going to buy lots ...
