  1. Just checking in ....

I can't believe it's already almost been one week since I last posted, wow!

Been keeping busy with meeting homeschooling families. My son will turn 6 in April, so it was high time I started getting involved in the local homeschooling scene.

My husband and I are still 100% raw. I've been able to stay raw as well since my slip up. Today is our 5 week point.

The last few days I've been actually craving chocolate. Not bad cravings, but chocolate sounded ...

  2. Glad to be ok today

Well, my slip-up yesterday didn't seem to impact my frame of mind at all. I don't have any increased cravings either. So I guess I can forget about it, simple as that.

I think everyone has to find out how to deal with slip-ups and temptations in their own unique way.

For me, the danger was not having more cravings today, but because I was ok with having pizza and I am doing ok today, that down the line, I could think back and go: 'Well, I was just fine the last time ...

  3. Finally ....

... I caved. What else did I expect? To stay 100% raw forever? A little tiny bit of myself was hoping I would, but yeah ....

My husband (who's on this raw adventure with me) went shopping for his very SAD stepson today and brought home my alltime favorite frozen pizza from Trader Joes! I couldn't believe my eyes!

First I got mad at my husband, because he should know better, and his "Well, Nathan (his son) wanted pizza", didn't sit well with me. What am I chopped ...

  4. Good day out!

I was kind of worried about today. Mondays are long days for us, we leave the house at 9:30 am and aren't back home until 3:30 pm.

I didn't have any foods premade, so I just packed some leftover spinach dip, dried spicy sunflower seeds, prunes and crackers.

And it was really good and satisfying, when we ate it for lunch in the park! Well, my kids are fine regardless, since they are used to eating raw, but for me, not necessarily. But I was happy with it, and was able ...

  5. Needing some new recipe ideas

Some days in the past, I have so many recipes I want to try, that I don't know, which ones to do first, and others, like the last few days, I have no inspirations at all.

I think I will take some time today, and leaf through some of my older raw food recipe books. :)

    Yesterdays foods:
    morning:
    half a small watermelon
    orange juice

    mid afternoon:
    apple
couple of small crackers with almond butter and cherry jam
    ...
