  1. Hawaii has refreshed and inspired me

    I'm on vacation in Hawaii right now. I'm currently on the big island. Being here has totally inspired me to return to raw foodism full force. Why? I started eating many more raw meals and felt better than I have in months. In addition, whenever I ate a cooked heavy meal, I start to feel bad: congested, bloated, gassy, like I have cement in me. So, now Im going back to raw. On another note, I want to live in Hawaii! Its so amazing here.

    i now want healthy foods because i just simply want them. not because im supposed to eat them. this is liberating for me.

    im on this really strong kick to simplify my life. cellphones, television, movies, expensive new clothes, accessories, etc already have no place in my life. all i want is to build my own little living space in some natural area, create my own garden, forage, make music, hike, backpack, feel and explore all that is sitting just below my nose. people were not meant ...

  3. stop thinking, start living

    ive been thinking a lot about my relationship with food and how much time i actually spend thinking about food. sometimes i think i have orthorexia, an obsession with healthy eating that consumes me. i tell myself that im doing it to improve the quality of my life but where do you draw the line?

    my goal right now is to simply flow into the moment. to eat intuitively. take everything one bite at a time, slowly. don't label foods as good or bad. no more planning out what im going to ...

    ate today so far:

    smoothie: 1.5 bananas, cinnamon, ginger root, cocoa powder, coconut oil and flaxseed

  5. my september 30 day challenge

    here are my goals so that i can feel/look/be my best. :)

    -no nuts (i did this before and it worked great)
    -exercise daily (biking, walking, yoga, etc)
    -cleanse with coconut oil and apply to body regularly
    -really learn to eat intuitively

    i know what foods work best in me and they are: greens!, carrots, seeds, olive oil, avocados, most veggies, low sugar fruits, coconut in all its forms, bananas here and there, and lots of water. im excited to see ...
