I agree. I make my kids eat fruit before any "junk" that there dad may buy. Its funny how your taste buds change. Well summer is here and picnics full of tomatoes, watermelon, corn. Vegan coleslaw. Is a great way to get people to eat raw stuff without labeling it raw...

Fruit popcicles kids love them. Good luck Feel better.

I was raw all the way till dinner time! ...but now I feel sick. It's Amazing to me that in the course of just 2/3's of a day of eating raw, I can have such a reaction to eating cooked/junk compared to when I eat it throughout the day as well. I remember once when I had been all raw for some weeks and had a tiny little candy and I swear I almost died...I remember saying (moaning with my eyes closed) 'Doug, this is POISON, we have to stop allowing and eating this junk, if I can have such a strong reaction, just because I never eat it, what's it doing to them??'
...he was annoyed at the behaviour change that conversation might have required. ...not that my kids and us eat terribly, but we do have some issues that need addressing for sure.

I am going to continue to eat raw till dinner I think...it will be an experiment that might very well turn out to me quitting some foods due to feeling sick by them. Many people's stories went like this that I've read....they eat a LOT raw...and as a result their system just reacts more strongly to anything sub par and they phase it out.
    Ugh, I feel kinda awful.

    Hey Bananna,
Don't count calories you will drive yourself batty. I compost my kids love to throw the stuff in it.

For Chocolate. Get raw chocolate powder. I had the best shake this morning 2 banana's, sunflower milk, raw choc. It was sooo good.

Maybe try some coconut in your diet. You can buy raw coconut butter. It might helpwith your cheese cravings. (fat)

Nutritional yeast gives a cheesy flavor.

    Good luck.

the way we live today with all these quick easy processed, just nuke in the microwave kind of foods its no wonder it is a challenge! we grow up on them and then we want to do whats right for our bodies our minds yet the temptation sucks! take it day by day and visualize yourself after eating something cooked. i feel so heavy and my feet swell from alot of the salt they throw in to our foods now. drink those green smoothies they help me over come so many bad food choices mostly becuase i dont crave my body feels satisfied! but thats only because i went raw. i am now making my baby steps to being fully raw and it is a journey but im soo glad i have come so far becuase the way i feel i dont think i want to touch anything cooked again. its AMAZING, keep positive and you can accomplish anything

LOL Don't feel bad! I totally get you. I have to wait to save up some money so that I can have enough money to buy all the produce I need for my juice feast and it's killing me. Easing yourself into 100% raw will help avoid setting yourself up for failure. YOU CAN DO IT AND YOU WILL! <3 Keep positive!

    Blessed Be <3

Bananna, good morning! How have you been? I see you are back too. Do not be discouraged. This is it. It is the year we come back! I'm even thinking of starting up a raw blog again, once I'm completely back. Where are you at? What needs to be tweaked in your diet to get you there? I'm here if you can to talk! ;) (((HUGS)))

I just watched Forks Over Knives and Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead back to back. It at least inspired dh to do a 10 juice fast with me. I think I am going to try for 30 days myself. I am really craving a banana whip and one of those awesome raw fajitas. And Kale Krisps. Yeah, I better quit talking about it or I won't make it to 10 days!!! hah~! I am headed to check out your awesome sprouter. Thanks for the link!

I just watched Forks over Knives recently .. was some good inspiration and confirmation to stay healthy! .. good luck with everything!

I watched Earthlings yesterday....... far out... it was really disturbing, I cried through out the entire film, I was probably more emotional due to detoxing but even still, I probably would have been that emotional regardless - worth watching, but you really have to be ready for it (that's how I felt anyway!)

& yay for sprouting - I must get onto this!

I hadn't heard about Sugar, the bitter truth. Glad to have something new to watch! There is another one I'm super excited to see but I'm unsure whether or not I should buy the dvd or just wait til it come out on Netflix.... It's called "May I be Frank". from what I understand, he totally handed over his diet to a couple of young guys in a natural foods cafe.....

Sprouting machine. That sounds cool, like if I got one I wouldn't have to put in much effort for my sprouts? Lol, I'm gonna have to check it out!!
