Let me ask you, do you have rough red bumps on the backs of your arms or thighs, rear end? Those were symptoms I had after giving up wheat & glueten. I gave up dairy, sugar, coffee, wheat and red meat and felt better, but not great. After I went Raw...I can honestly say I feel about as good as I ever remember feeling, at least since I was like 12. It has changed my life. Good luck on your journey!!!

But see? I have quit stuff. Quite a bit. and I had this stuggle with everyone of them, but now I am totally fine. The struggle just isn't there....I'm still scared to change anything everytime though. Scared. Huh.

ahh~HAaaa... I thought that was you! Yes, I just read that on another blog too - that the second time around was easier - part of the reason being that they had a better understanding of the raw lifestyle. No worries Ana - you are a very strong woman... you'll be rawkin the house with your rawmacious self in no time!! good to have you back!! ;)

Sooooo....did you finish Harry Potter yet???? What did you think of the last book? I enjoyed it, but she missed the mark on the emotional parts of it terribly. HP books will always be a fave of mine regardless. Hope all is going great for you. Haven't heard from you in awhile. Take care!

Sounds like things are sorting themselves out and working themselves out too! I hope you enjoy your new job... that usually helps when you enjoy what you are doing - I know your friend said it's about bringing in the $ ... but if you can enjoy what youre doing at the same time - that's always nice too! RAWK ON! ;)

You know a lot of times people don't like their jobs they just go there to make the money. I can honestly say since going Raw being at work doesn't really bother me like it use to. I use to be so irritable and tired all of the time and now I'm fine.

Congrats on being 50% Raw.. How did you find out about the Online Cust Serv Job?

In your heart - if you truly TRULY want to do this... you can. Just like many other things in your life that you have determined that you REALLY wanted to do - and you set your mind to it ... and MADE those things happen - you can determine to do this too. But you must first have the heart choice and you must first know THAT YOU ARE WORTH it... ;)

Yes, you can! Ditto what beppa said. Green smoothies helped me alot with cravings!

Dehydrators are a good investment, but a lot of people use the inexpensive ones like you can get at walmart etc. And there is a dorito recipe floating around on this forum, do a earch under rawritos. Chocolate is ok as long as it's raw. Have you been making green smoothies? They really help with energy and cravings...so does taking a teaspoon of coconut oil am/pm.
Sounds like you really want to do this but there needs to be a connection between the head and the heart. You can.

You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it. I seriously never realized the connection between my health, how I felt, emotions, appearance and eating. SAD is sort of a vicious, addictive, self-feeding circle of doom.

    (whew, talk about drama, LOL)

Don't worry or beat yourself up, just make your next choice a better one.
    BIG HUG.

Gwena is RIGHT!! ;) !! All in all - you're doing great! You're making healthy choices and going forward and HEY- YOU FOUND BRAGGS...!!! LIFE IS GOOD!! as for all the other stuff you gotta do - no worries -- if you can handle all those kids - you can deal with the other stuff! I KNOW YOU CAN!! Personally I think you're AMAZING!

You are so right Anna, though counting the days is fun and a way to access progress it's beside the point when trying to live a healthy lifestyle. Each new day brings with it a chance to change and grow. W/n all your days raw were in a row is beside the point. You're doing great regardless!

btw... you are NOT a train wreck!!! You are a rawmacious - gorgeous wonderful Goddess... with 5 kids.... and still sane??? ...please girl.... I could barely handle one grandchild!!! whew!! you are doing great!!!

I think you're doin great! If you cannot find braggs - try Nama Shoyu or Tamari sauce. Sometimes our grocery store has braggs (and its cheaper there than at the hfs!) You are transitioning very fast - and doing a great job...enjoy your juice smootie fast!

Anna - I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure -- that nuts dont actually sprout. they do some kind of internal wake up thing -but they dont sprout like alfalfa or buckwheat. aaand.. sometimes we just do the best we can - with all the hoopla about no more raw nuts - i'm not going to sweat the small stuff. I will eat as healthy as I can- make smart choices and do the best I can!
  19. Liserpiece's Avatar
BTW, I'm goin' Cold Turkey. Just deciding on the big day! :)

Anna, you mentioned sprouting, what are you trying to srpout? As far as nuts go, you only have to soak them, like 6 hrs. I have a tricky time finding truely raw nuts. Some say that even the de-shelling process gets them too hot, making even "raw" nuts not raw. It's a prob! Sometimes you just have to do the best you can knowing that your intent is there. I'm learning that it's impossible to be perfect. It's all good and your doing GREAT!
