    I tried a Caesar Salad with the Caesar dressing. I also made a Parmesan Cheese from Brazil nuts, garlic & salt. That came from I Am Grateful. Since I bought these large bushels of basil from the farmers market I also made a pesto sauce from Ani's recipe book and switched walnuts for the pistachios. I threw a lot of it into the freezer for days when I'm too busy to make anything. I know I lose some nutrients, but when I able to pull something good to eat from the freezer it helps me stick ...

    I went to the Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building in San Francisco. I love this Market! They have the best organic greens in the City. That's where I found lemon basil, which is great when added to a green smoothie.

  3. Day 27 & Still Going

    Well I fell behind in my blog because I've been busy. I didn't sleep well at all last night because I ate some cooked chocolate chip cookies. The sugar really hit me, and kept me up all night.

    I tried to make a smoothie today with no fruit and I just couldn't drink it. Its very intense without fruit. However, the lemon basil adds a delicious flavor. So I added a little mango and it became drinkable.

    Wow. I’m really surprised I lost another pound this week. It’s not much but its something. I didn’t make the time for exercise last week and figured I wouldn’t lose anything or worse gain some weight.

    Watch out for that 'stinging' nettle.

    Not too much happening today. I still face the challenge of working in the catering industry and trying to stay on my raw diet. Today I was surrounded by cakes, pastries, breads, cookies and all sorts of cooked foods. Part of the problem is the food just smells so good, and I just want to grab something.
