  1. Accidental Cheese!!

    Today's food:

    Green smoothie (orange, strawberry, coconut water, bee pollen, red leaf lettuce)

    Nectarine

    Many fudge balls

    Kale and avocado salad (have discovered that I do NOT like the texture of avocado. )

  2. OMG, I JUST MADE FUDGE BALLS!

    THEY ARE SOOOO GOOD! I so wish I had some raw cacao right now... I made them with regular cocoa. Can't stand carob. Amazing!

  3. Green Smoothies and the Joys of Detox

    Made my first green smoothie this morning out of valencia orange, strawberries, coconut water, a very large handful of red leaf lettuce, and 2 cups of water. Its pretty good. At least its drinkable. Nicky loves it. Way to get his greens!

    I've found myself feeling great, really, at least mentally. I'm feeling a bit bloated and DEFINITELY extra gassy. I think that's how I'm detoxing, I guess.

    I'm going to make a bunch of food today: Pad Thai, Fudge Balls, Collard ...

  4. Thursday's Food

    Breakfast: Smoothie of OJ, strawberries, bee pollen and coconut water

    Snack: Organic nectarine, baby carrots with mock salmon pate

    Lunch: Another giant salad with pate

    Snack: Banana and nectarine

    Dinner: Bean and rice burrito (no cheese!!) with fresh, raw salsa and a few tortilla chips

    Dinner didn't sit too long in my stomach last night. It felt nice to eat some warm food (hot, actually, cuz of the enchilada sauce!).

  5. Wednesday Wrap-Up

    This afternoon was a bit of a challenge. I was at work and feeling hungry. I'd brought a handful of soaked/dried almonds and an orange. Not enough. A couple of folks popped popcorn. Mmmmm... Did I eat it? NOPE! I'm so proud of myself!

    Dinner tonight was whole wheat penne topped with Alissa's raw summer tomato sauce. YUMMERS!!

    Teeth are brushed. Water is poured. No more food for the day.

    So here I am at the end of my third day as a raw vegan ...
