  1. Day 10 Getting there slowly

    Well I am Day 10 now. Today I am doing my weekly (I just started last week) 1 day water fast. I am going to try and drink a gallon of water today. Last week I only drank 3/4 gallon of water and I felt a bit dehydrated the next day. I am also going to try and slowly transition back to solids tomorrow (based on a really good comment I got). Last week I went right back to solids the day after my water fast and my intestines/stomach hurt a bit.

  2. Day 3 - Day After Water Fast

    I did a one day water fast yesterday. I went backed to raw food today. To be honest, I felt much better yesterday than I do today. I was able to somehow persevere and stay on the water fast yesterday. I had to volunteer at a theater that serves delicious smelling popcorn and had a pizza party for some volunteers nearby. But I made it. I drank my usual 3/4 gallon of water and I am wondering if I should have tried to drink more yesterday. I was more tired than usual but I didn't feel headachy ...

  3. Day 2 - 1 day water fast

    I was reading Brian Clemente's book about the raw diet and he recommends doing a water fast one day a week. What with work and so many activities on the weekend I thought I would like to pick a day each week when my workload or social calendar might permit. I decided to do my water fast today for this week. So far I am doing well, but I feel a bit tired and spacey. Supposedly these kind of things get you through detox and to superior health quicker. Well, give me some of that!

  4. Day 1 (again) this close to 100%

    Well, I caved to SAD last month after 23 days in the challenge when a lot of health issues (non-raw related) cropped up and just took kicked my butt. For the last few weeks that I have been eating SAD, I have actually felt a little bit worse, but I just found the SAD food so seductive that I didn't want to give it up.   5. Fell of the wagon

    Well, I had to do a liquid fast for two days before a medical procedure last week. By the time it was over, I was so hungry that I caved to eating raw food. I am on heavy antibiotics right now for an infection and nothing cooked (or raw) tastes good, but for some reason, I really wanted the comfort of warm food. So, now I am getting back to the 100% raw thing again. I will need to start the 30-day challenge again. Right now the meds are just sucking the life out of me and I don't have energy ...
