  1. August 30 day challenge -- Im READY!

    I am super excited to get back home and start my Aug raw challenge. Hubby is seeing that I am serious about my new lifestyle, and I am very encouraged by the new threads i have been seeing on healing teeth and green smoothies.

    In case you got tired or fearful of reading all the text, here are 3 examples of each dosha (unbalanced).

    VATA:
    For example, because vata is inherently cool - cool weather, cool foods, the cool seasons and times of day, and even cool emotions can increase Vata. Likewise, dry seasons, foods, environments or emotions will increase the dry quality and thereby increase Vata.

    Food Guidelines to balance KAPHA:

    Enjoy:
    -Foods that are pungent, bitter or astringent in taste.
    -Warm foods, both energetically and in temperature.
    -Heating spices - like chili, black or cayenne pepper, ginger, cinnamon and cumin.
    -Whole, freshly cooked foods.
    -Light, dry and warm foods.
    -Honey.
    -Only room temperature or warm drinks.

    The main qualities of Kapha are unctuous, cool, heavy, slow, smooth, soft and stable. It is also dense, cloudy and viscous.
