hello... I'm trying to make some quinola sprouts, and I read to sprout them for 2-4 hours, so I set them up a few hours before bed last night. But I forgot to drain them before bed, and they soaked for about 11.5 hours  Are they o'kay... or will this ruin them? I drained them and set them up as regular, but wondering if they will be o'kay.

Thanks,
Sandra

I soak my quiona overnight all the time. Actually if you look at the little guys they should have already started 'sprouting' You can see the tails inside the seeds and some should have already started to curl out. I normally just drain them, rinse them well, and then put them in the fridge. I very rarely ever sprout anything till it gets a long tail, the obvious exceptions are wheat grass and the ones you expose to light to turn them green. It does depend on the sprout though, some get bitter the longer they sprout, some get sweeter. Just experiment. The fun thing about sprouting that as long as you remember to rinse rinse and rinse again it is truely hard to do wrong. Rinseing keeps things moist and keeps mold away, the two biggest problems with sprouting! For me anyway.
