It has been recommended that I should partake in a fast under the guidelines of the Creative Health Institute or the Optimum Health Institute. I already drink 2 oz. of wheatgrass twice a day, if that matters.

Does anyone know the regiment of their fasts?

Thanks,
Nini

Hi Nini!

I always started my fast room temp water every morning.

The first juice always had ginger juice for blood circulation and whatever juice I chose which was usually apple.

I avoided juices like OJ--too puply.

I drank between 12-16 oz of juice 4-5 times a day. Water in between.

As my fasting progressed, my appetite for juice decreased and the water increased.

I did salt flush only twice.

I did detox bath everyday and massage everday: MSP,essential oils, crystals and gemstones, chants, meditation and deep breathing and castor oil packs.

Walking and stretching.

Avoided people and stressful situations.

I'm transitionig back into foods very carefully and slowly.

I'm not familiary with their guidlines so I cannot comment on them. Was this what you ahd in mind?

Nini,

I stayed at OHI for a month. They did a two-day juice fast weekly. I suggest call to them for the juice recipe--was not strong but cuke and sprouts were definately in it--it was always a very pale shade of green. Ingesting wheatgrass was highly recommended as you know (as was using it in other creative ways). Rejuvalac (they offered wheat and rye at all times) Filtered water was always available and they recommended drinking half your body weight in ounces--e.g. a 150 lb person would consume 75 oz. water per day.

Hope this helps. I am strongly considering a juice fast for lent, possibly a master cleanse--job searching so maybe stick to the juice fast.

Basically, OHI's detox is all fermented, sprouted, greens, morning watermelon, or A.M. sesame and sunflower seed cheese with celery, cucumber, tomatoes etc., dehydrated crackers, some avocado, twice daily wheatgrass, three day vegetable juice fast...like that without being overly specific...coupled with Colonics as scheduled, plus self given daily enemas and wheatgrass implants.

Oh, and rejuvelac, sprouted wheat or rye.

It's a great program...I lost thirty pounds there over three months and my cholesterol dropped 77 points.

Cannot say enough good things about their program, it works miracles for many people.
