I read the recipe in Alissa's book for Ann Wigmore's Banana Creme Pie. Has anyone tried it? Alissa says its good - but I want to get a second or third opinion before I commit all the ingredients...anyone? Anyone?
thanks,

It is well worth it. I have made it a few times and it's awesome! The crust tastes like SAD coconut frosting you get in a can. The filling is great too. You might want to use some lemon juice in the filling (just a little) to keep it from turning brown- same goes for any bananas you might put on top. It keeps it's shape a lot better after it is in the fridge for a while, maybe overnight. It would probably be great half frozen too. It's pretty rich and very good. If you make it, let me know how you like it! :D

Hi
Over the holidays I made both ann wigmores pie and the banana/raspberry cream pie. I really suggest the one with raspberry. However, the last one I made (on sunday) I used the crust and filling from ann wigmores and added a layer of rasperry goo in between. I will say that the banana/rasp recipe is much firmer. Ann Wigmores was a little runny for me even after chilling it.

I tried the banana cream pie but left out the tahini (I don't like it) It was unbelievable. I also halved the recipe and it made alot. But it was just me eating it.

I am confused is this the banana cream pie that has the rapberries in it? Or is there some other recipe? It didn't sound like what you guys are talking about. Especially the crust part.

Alright, I made Ann Wigmore's banana creme pie and I have to say it was pretty good! I especially like the coconutty crust.
The thing I love about these pie recipes is that you can always take a slice and throw it in the blender with other fruits, like I did this morning. I put a slice of the banana pie in with 2 mangoes and some frozen berries and it made a tasty smoothie. Yum!

Where can we find Ann Wigmore's pie? Thanks.
Everything sounds so great and glad I am able to control myself to a degree when I read all this yummy stuff. If I could just get a few tastes over the screen as I view I bet my body design would be increasing and not my desire! Headed to gym today. Thanks all.
