I am surrounded by fast food places. Seriously, 500 places to eat. I live in Texas, where we have 5 of the 15 most overweight town in America. I wanted to share this epiphony (sp?) I came to today. Seems to be something new everyday!!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

One good thing about raw- it's not like a sad diet where you map out your own plan & go forth with it, seeing goals through one by one. Raw unveils things TO you along your way. And it's always things you never knew were coming.

My world is changing. I feel so uncomfortable about feeling so alone, but if you can picture a street.--Ppl on sad see ALL places as places to eat. Not me. I see these as corporations that have me/my husband at the bottom of their concerns & I no longer want to give them my money. I see these ppl eating there (taking a good long step back has awakened me to the types of ppl these are) They are hungry, eating filler that will make them hungry again in less than 30 mins, are craving sugar BADLY, have awful skin, bad attitudes, & look as though they are about to hit the floor from exhaustion. (workers included) As if that isnt enough of a warning, you see the cook & you wouldnt trust the young guy with one of your SHOES much less something you are about to eat. Worse, you see them walk out of the bathroom.

Since being raw, I have had to stop for public pottys several times. I used to have such an issue with this. I never stopped before, but nowadays it's only #1 & I honestly cant hold it that long. After my good detox, my body runs much faster than before. ANYWAYS, while I was in the bathroom I went to today, it hit me that ppl should treat public bathrooms the same way they would in their own homes. The bathroom was SO clean & nice. I wished others would be this way. I always wondered if the bathroom signified the way customers would be treated in other areas of the establishment. In other words, if they cant clean the dang bathroom, what types of parasites, dirt, etc are in the food they are serving???

Just when I think I've come so close to a road ending & that I've seen the majority of what there is to see...the road surprisingly continues AND many more are added to explore!

ljannise,

Have you seen the movie "Super Size Me"? If you have not, you should be able to rent it at a video store. It is a great movie about fast food corporations and obesity in the U.S.
