Is there any raw couscous? How is couscous prepared before they sell it (the actual regualr couscous)? What's the deal with whole wheat couscous?

As I understand it couscous is a form of pasta.
It is not a whole food and is rather processed and usually made from semolina wheat flour.
You might consider soaking and sprouting quinoa to get something light and fluffy that could serve as a substitute

yeah, SAD couscous is pasta. I made a couscous from parsnips from Raw Food Real World, I quite liked it though it is not the same. Sprouted quinoa is a good idea angelbleu.
