Hello all,

I'm in the market for a granola bar recipe, or even just ideas on ingredients. I would like to make bars that don't need to stay cold, so perhaps they could be dehydrated? I'd love them to be crunchy, and even chewy would be okay, but I'd prefer them not to be sticky as I'm looking for easy to eat, on the go type treats.

I've seen rawveganmom's Nola Bar recipe, but she puts those in the freezer to make them keep their shape. I'm worried that, if left out, these would disintegrate. I've also heard that dehydrating honey just makes it stickier, so perhaps agave necatar would be a more appropriate sweetener?

If anyone has tried to make these before or has any suggestions, I'd love to hear about it! Thanks!

using dates will make the bars curnchy
heres something i think would work (havent tried it though) do u have an oat flaker?
1 c oat flakes (or ground oat groats)
1/2 c walnuts
1 c dates, soaked
1/2 c pumpkin seeds
1/4 c coconut flakes
1/4 c raisins
(just suggestions, you can add anything you want to it)

blend dates w/ a much water as needed until smooth. stir in all ingredients. shape into bars and dehydrate until crisp, prob 8 hrs
