I decided not to punish myself when I don't eat raw. I have just been listening to my body and not my head...VERY HARD!! I notice that when I eat a raw meal, I don't get hungry as fast, I don't get sleepy and too full, I have energy! Who knew? I am taking it moment by moment and just trying to take care of my body...I just discovered through an MRI that the numbness and pain in my left arm is due to a herniated disc...

Time to take care of the body..quit ignoring physical stuff...quit shoveling junk....I believe Raw can/will heal...maybe not a herniated disc, but energy etc. Here's hoping!!

.... maybe EVEN a herniated disc.

Your post "should" be made into a sticky. The way you are going is one of the most sensible I've seen on here. Be easy with yourself, love yourself and keep on keeping on.

What is a "sticky?"

What is a "sticky?"

It's sort of a notation where it's kept so others can read it. The mods have domain over the stickies methinks.

Hi Jennifuh,

Herniated Discs can heal. I just finished a course in Structural Integration or otherwise known as Rolfing and we talked a lot about these. Also they can be caused by lack of water because there is fluid inside the discs and when dehyraded it causes them to shrink. You might seek out a good rolfer/structural integrator in your area.

woke up this a.m....very tired...headache........buh....

Our kitty, Paco, was bumping into stuff all night! He has to wear one of the dome-collar things to keep him from rubbing his injured eye....poor kitty! He is quite unhappy and letting us know just how unhappy all night long....

Anyway, how nice to read your posts! Great to hear that discs can heal- especially after my dr. (who wants to injuect me with epidural shots!!!) said they will not! So thank you....and I will look into the rolfing. :D
