I see Alissa has 2 kinds-premium and theraputic. What are some good brands you can purchase at the store? Anyone have any testimonials re: enzyme therapy? I read some infor they are supposed to help obesity. No matter what I do lately the scale doesn't move. I thought I might need the enzymes to help me...

Purl, thanks for posting your question. I will let someone else who is more familiar with that product answer your question.

I just wanted to post the link to the Therapeutic Enzymes (http://www.alissacohen.com/therapeuticenzymes.html) for anyone who is interested.

Hi Purl. Enzyme therapy is fantastic. When it comes to your internal environment, from cleansing and repairing to internal functions etc, it all comes down to enzymes, oxygen and ph.

Enzymes do help with weightloss, as they contain the enzyme lipase, which breaks down fat. They also help with digestion, cleansing and rebuilding.
Alissa carries 2 of the best enzyme supplements out there. The ones she uses in her own home after years of research. She carries premium enzymes and therapeutic enzymes. They are both top notch.

The therapeutic enzymes Samuel posted are extremely aggresive and very potent. Many people who are serious about healing from disease etc take these.
Her husband broke his foot and was rollerblading and healed only days later and attributes this rapid healing to the therapeutic enzymes he takes regularly. Here is a little info on them:
This product can be taken preventative before an athletic event to allow the body to immediately begin repair from inflamation caused by extreme workouts or physical traumas. It enters inflamed areas that have been isolated from the bodies circulation, allowing for recovery time to be cut in half. It is very useful for athletes with muscle damage

The main ingredient in this formula is a very strong fibrinolytic agent. It has been reported to have the ability to digest arterial plaques.
Case studies have shown this product to be beneficial in the assistance of tumors, bacteria, parasites, fungus, candida, cancers, immune deficiency disorders, and a host of other ailments, as well as having a powerful effect on undigested proteins, fats and carbohydrates

Her premium digestive enzymes are also of the highest quality.
I love that everything Alissa carries on her site is what she uses in her own home.

Hope that helps!
Warmly~

sweetgoddess, can you please post some link(s) to those case studies, I love to read studies that support the raw lifestyle. Thanks in advance!

Also, I have a wicked injury I am trying to heal from, I am heartened by Alissa's hubby's story - this thing you posted

is that on the therapeutic ones only? Where is this info you posted from? can it really enter an inflamed area isolated from the body's circulation? how do they work?

Muchos gracias.

Great info SG-thanks! I just have one more question, and this might be really dumb-but are enzymes the same as acidophilous?

Hi Purl. Acidophilous is actually a bacteria. Being alive, the bacteria will have its own enzymes, but no, it is not considred the same things at all, or used with the same intent.

exurb, since Alissa just moved from california to maine, she is swamped with things to take care of. I will try to get back to you with the answers to your questions by next week when things are a bit calmer!

Warmly~
