I like this alot but I don't like all the salt they add to it at trader joe's and I want to make my own. Anyone out there have any recipes for it?

Sunflower Seed Butter
2 cups sunflower seeds
flax oil for consistency
sea salt to taste
Add 2 cups of sunflower seed to your Vita-Mix (or other device). If using a Vita-Mix, use the tamper to force the seeds into the blade. Just add enough flax oil to assist in blending and to create the correct consistency. Add sea salt to taste.

Okay I guess I have to buy food processor now since all I have is a blender. It will only help me in going raw. Once I get it I will try thanks!!!

I put sunflower seeds in a coffee grinder first, then into the food processor. I added some agave, almond oil (just a tiny bit), and sea salt. Flax oil is a good idea too. It's pretty good, but after leaving it in the fridge over night it's become crumbly and really hard to spread. Anyone have any advice to turn it into the consistency of butter? I know I could put it in the food processor again, but that's a lot of work everytime I want to use it! Any other ideas??
