I recently puchased some King Oyster mushrooms at a large local Asian market. (Bought them kind of in error as I was trying to make a recipe, but turns out it was for Lobster mushrooms which I have never seen). I tried to find information online on eating this variety raw. All I came up with in a raw search was pretty much warnings about ingesting any mushroom raw.
Now, I have made the Pesto Stuffed Portobella's raw with no problem. Mostly dehydrated them, but have done them with avo filling raw.
Also marinated Shiitake and used in rollups, again no problem.
So, my question is has anyone eaten King Oyseter mushrooms raw? If so, how did you use/prepare them?
Any and all help appreciated. Loving the raw diet and sure don't want to poison myself.
