I don't truly know "why" I have chronic back pain issues, but I just do. Some times it's so bad I can barely move, or even roll in bed. But I just have to grin and bear it... and I used to take advil to help "get thru" the tough times. However, since I've been getting back into the "raw" swing of things, I have tried to NOT take the advil... b/c less garbage in means less garbage the body has to try putting out. However, it's just too much to deal with.

This week marked the beginning of my green smoothies... and I plan to have one each day. I have read some ppl's comment that their back aches etc. have diminished since having green smoothies each day. I'm hoping for similar results here.

But do you think it's o'kay to still take the advil until I feel that I don't need it anymore? I have read on other sites where ppl eventually find that they just don't need the medication anymore.

P.S. I'm just started out... I'm neither 100% or even high raw yet.

P.S.S. my chiro thinks that my back issues may be due in part to having an extra vertebra... and therefore there being crowding issues.

Thanks,
Sandra

Back pain is often caused by gas. Instead of Advil, I would suggest a series of 3 colonics plus 2-3 green smoothies a day which include baby spinach. Then, get back to us on how wonder-filled it is to be pain-free. :)

after the birth of my baby girls 3.5 years ago... i had chronic back pain and was in tears. i went to the doc and got a scan done. turns out i had herniated discs. he prescribed me some t3 and said that it would just go away at some point.
i was in tears as i did not want to live on pain medication. one day, i was talking with a friend and she suggested acupuncture. i had nothing to lose so i went ahead with it and met a wonderful naturopath/acupuncturist. he was board certified in acupuncture and chinese medicine. i saw him 3 times and my pain was completely gone... no meds necessary. i convinced a friend of mine to see him for her chronic back pain of 20 years! she slept on a lazy boy as she could not sleep in bed without pain... she visited the same doc... and sold her lazy boy chair after 3 treatments!

not all acupunctures have the same lengthy training so it is important to see one who is certified ... i was very very blessed meeting this Dr ... he saved me from going down the path of medication.
