UPS just dropped off my order of 100% unbleached parchment paper......but on the package it it says it's coated with silicone. Are all unbleached parchment paper coated with silicone? I feel like I should send it back.

Thanks,
Tracy

I thought alot of you guys use 100% parchment paper? I was looking forward to using this paper but am concerned about the silicone...this parchment paper is from Greenfeet...does anyone have this and/or why if this product is so environmentally safe, why is it coated with silicone?? Any suggestions would be helpful!

I use the one from "IF YOU CARE." It is silicone coated but it says it like its something to be proud of "Silicone Coated - the best non-stick surface, the most environmentally safe coating."

I don't dehydrate a lot, but I've never had a problem with this and don't think it could be any worse than some of the negative claims I have heard about teflex; which I'm going to buy as soon as funds allow it.

I have the teflex but I thought it wasn't the greatest to use, so that's why I bought the parchment paper. Oh well..I guess it really doesn't matter.
