Bulk Mail order in the North East?

I am looking for a source for bulk items. These weekly trips to WF are killin' me. I figure if I can order thru the mail and join the CSA I won't have to go to WFs, except for 1 or 2 items when neccessary. The only online source I know is Sun Foods, but the shipping is pretty hight 'cause they are in CA and I am in MA. Anyone know of a source closer to home?? Thanks.

I order from Glasers all the time. to get Raw nuts, I have to drive 45 minutes ...each way...& then they are not always organic. :(

My big box came today...shipping $21..time is money..so I think it is well worth it to have it shipped.

Hint..order by phone..not the net. Order on Monday Morn.so you get your box before the weekend.

The dried fruits/sun dried tomatos/ raw olives are also great...as are the flax crackers(I make my own) but I order since we go through a lot of crackers. :cool:

I'll sometimes order dried fruit, chocolate, and sea vegetables from www.sweetwatermarket.net. They also sell soaked-and-dehydrated nuts and nut butters, and lots of nuts. I believe they're entirely organic.
You can also check out www.morningsidefarm.com. The best prices are from the "At-a-distance catalog," but you can only order during a certain window each month, and the deliveries are once a month. However, I think they have great deals on dried fruit and some nuts. Also, although they don't tell you shipping prices from the at-a-distance site, they're really reasonable--I always get heavy stuff and usually pay only about $7 in shipping. They're in TN and I'm in VA, but I don't think distance matters much--they ship UPS. There's also a link from that same page to Manna Harvest if you're not willing or able to schedule your orders, but their prices aren't as low.

Looks good, their Almonds are cheaper than Glasers at $11 vs 14.50 per pound. Interesting, I will ask where their source is.
