This might be a dumb question, but how do you make milk? I've been raw for 11 days and was wondering how to make it. I read the thread about the milk making mashine and there were several coments about how they already make milk, but not enough info for me to make my own. Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Laura

The way I usually do it is I soak about 1 cup of nuts of choice (this can be almonds, cashews, a combo, brazil nuts, etc.) overnight.
The next day, blend the drained nuts with 2-3 cups of water (I use about 2 cups because 3 cups of water makes my milk more like a skim milk in consistency). Blend well!
Now, some people stop there and then strain it using a nut milk bag, etc. I like to add (to taste) a dash of sea salt, vanilla and a little agave.
Then, you grab a large bowl and place the nut milk bag (I use paint strainer bags from Home Depot) in the bowl (or you can actually fit the elastic of the bag around the rim of the bowl) and pour the contents of the blender into it.
Hold the top of the bag tautly in one hand while gently yet firmly squeezing the milk from the bag into the bowl with the other hand...like "milking" the bag!
Store it in the fridge for up to 2-3 days.
I'm sure others will chime in with other suggestions, tips and hints!
