Hi, I've been raw for 22 days. At first I felt very energetic and didn't need as much sleep. Then I caught a terrible cold and was really sick for 4 days. I haven't completely snapped back energy-wise and that was 2 weeks ago. The past few days I've been experiencing big drops in blood sugar when I get up in the morning and during the day if I go several hours without eating.

What's up with that?

Merry Christmas Everyone.

Savanah,
It sounds like you are still in a detox episode- you body is taking a little time to clean out- that's probably what your "cold" was. Are you eating a lot of fruit? If you eat a lot of fruit and then don't eat for a while, you will probably feel quite a drop, especially if your body is detoxing and still adjusting to being raw. You might try eating smaller meals more often throughout the day and balancing your intake of fruits and greens. Maybe incorporate a little more green, or a green drink (superfood) along with your fruit. If you are eating too many nuts, that might be slowing you down, too. I notice that I detox a lot slower and have a lot less energy when I am eating more nuts (and I looooove nuts). They also keep the weight on, too.

Be happy that your body is detoxing, though! It stinks to feel bad, but it will be so worth it in the end! Depending on how toxic you are, it might lat a little while, but hang in there. Congrats on your 22 days raw! :D

Hi welcome and congrats on 22 days as well I remember when I was there. I too got a very bad cold that sounds exactly like what you are experiencing. I agree with the advice above. Hang in there you are doing great.
