My dc didn't like the turnip wrappers on the rawvioli. What else can I use? I was thinking celraeic, but WF was out of it. I thought maybe jicama, or beet? They love beets! anything else you can think of? Butternut squash, if I could figure out how to slice it on the mandolin???

anyone wanna take this challenge?

purl, raw food real world has a ravioli recipe with beet, they put a pistachio pesto on that too as well as the ravioli cheese (from cashews) if I remember correctly.

I don't like the turnip either. My preferred ravioli noodle is very thinly sliced celery root/celeriac, I dip it in water with lemon juice as soon as it comes out of the mandoline. A more subtle, refined sort of flavor to my taste buds, blends nicely with a marinara. You can marinate and wilt it in the dehydrator for picky folks, myself I like the fresh taste of it raw.

I thought celreaic would work!!! Too bad the store didn't have any today. Perhaps I can go back in a few days and check again.

In on raw food recipe book I have they make wraps out of dehydrated blended young coconut! How amazing it that! It woudl go soft quickly though so you'd have to eat quickly!
