I think 100% is the easiest to figure. Just don't let anything that is not raw pass through those lips!

lol! That's a good question. I think it is based on two things: 1) the daily percentage and 2) compared to the last week. Meaning, that it's an avarage, based on the current habits of the individual. That's why people can be 75 % one week, and then make a decision, and be 100 % the next week. :) That's how I figure it.
Welcome on-board!

Yum Yum makes a good point. I guess it depends on how you did the week/day before!
I base it on how much cooked I had in a week. Was it just a bit of salad dressing hat wasn't raw and a few crackers? Or was it a couple meals? Then I just kinda throw together a figure. This week I"m 75% last week I was at about 95%!! (PMS old cravings are hard to break)

I'm interested in this discussion too. Because what if you don't know if your sun-dried tomato or dried fruit was at the correct temperature. What if it's some of the things like Bragg's or miso that Alissa includes in her recipes, but other threads have discussed as not being truly raw? I assume if you commit to the 30 day challenge, you commit under Alissa's definition as represented in the book. Not to be obsessive or nitpicky, I really am interested. Also, I don't iask to provoke an inappropriate discussion of competing views with Alissa's definition, but rather to understand what you interpret Alissa to intend re: 100%.
Yumyum, your avatar is SO funny. Clearly that explains why the squirrels in my yard have defeated 3 "squirrel-proof" (ha!) feeders.
Best,

Nini's answer is the best!!!!
I think the whole % thing is silly. Either you're all raw or you're not. We've discussed this numerous times here on the board in the last year. I don't personally think using a little Nama Shoyu (no Bragg's god forbid!!) every now and then compromises one's raw status. Someone is not 100% if they eat cooked or baked food - that simple. I don't see a reason to assign a % on that. So there's my opinion.
I know some purists -- and natural hygienists -- won't eat anything that's processed in any way (including blended) or dehydrated. That's okay for them ... and, who knows, our own path may lead us there eventually.
