Hello!

I am new to the boards but not new to raw foods. I have been 100% raw a few times now for many months each time. However a terrible habit of binging and depriving my body has left me at 115lbs and suffering with Anorexia. My binging was always on carbs (breads of any kind) I believe now I have Celiac disease because when I cut out the grains 5 days ago my bowel settled right down.

I believe I have severe Candida as I get itchy and dizzy any time I eat fruit. I also suffer with chronic vaginal itching and constipation. I also am suffering with Hyperthyroid (Graves disease) though the doctors tests say I am fine. I have been developing sensativity to any food with iodine, including kelp, green leaves, celtic salt, and even strawberries. It gets my heart racing like crazy. It appears that I am unable to take supplements of almost any kind. Enzymes, tocotrienols, good bacteria, they all make my heart race.

I also suffer with not being able to eat hardly any fat due to a burning pain in the middle of my chest straight through to my back. I have been checked for gallstones and they say I am clean. More then a handful of nuts seems to give me an acid attack.

My body looks gaunt and is lacking any color. My skin is pale and pasty looking. My hair is dry and looks nasty, and I am loosing quite a bit of it. I believe I am protein deficient, so within the past two weeks I have eaten chicken three times (yuck! haven't touched meat in over four years). If I could at least take the toco.

I feel as though I am wasting away and am limited to eating very few foods and scared to try more for the reactions that I am having to so many different things right now.

Have gone to the doctor. They have done test after test and cannot find a darn thing wrong with me. I got more then half of the people in my life telling me I need to just eat normal and a few select few telling me to stay raw. I just need to see some results in some area here so that I can get on with it. Please, if you have any input regarding any of these things I would appreciate hearing from you.

I have numerous questions!

Does anyone know if your body can use and assimilate hemp protein?

Is there a way of dealing with Candida without giving up all fruit?

The doctors are saying my thyroid is fine, but I cannot touch anything with iodine in it because it gives me a racing heart. Due to this I am only having about three good glasses of water a day because I am not taking in much salt, though I am trying to eat more celery. Would drinking more water and not taking in much salt be ok?

Is there a way of slowly cleansing the body? Any type of cleanse throws my entire system into an uproar and I end up unable to function because of my racing heart.

I feel like I need to take baby steps, but feel like my life is on the line. Has anyone had to deal with this type of thing?

Thanks for any help you can offer! I am considering going and seeing a Naturopathic doctor, but have seen others in my life fail at that and even die so I am trying to be careful and wise with every decision I make. I need to fatten up and get some color into me though.

thank you very much for your time and thoughts!

Wow! What a difficult time you are having. I would highly recommend a naturopath - make sure you find a good one. Have you been tested for food allergies? It almost seems rediculous to ask...

Best wishes,

I am soooooo i mean SO sorry for your body diseases. I would recommend a naturopath--I am starting to see one.

I am not sure what else to share but also concur that I am 100% raw and feel worse than i have in a while--but think it is stress not he food.

I would suggest juicing lots of greens and veggies to get things into the system immediately that has helped me a lot.

I am also trying to work on other areas of my life so I feel less stress and anxiety which causes more digestive stress....For me, the more confused i get about what to eat and how will it effect me--the worse everything is...

I ,too, cannot digest well seeds nuts any sprouted grains and many fruits...so i am left with veggies and some fruits.....and a bit of flax oil..

Good luck and hang in there....

Hi,

Don't have time to write much this morning, but take a look at Syclovir from http://www.worldhealthmall.com

This product has helped a lot with candida - worth a try!

I believe the answer is my parathyroid gland. I figured it out! I have been researching and researching and have found that it is the sulfur overload in my body, which is due to my parathyroid gland not producing the right amount of calcium phosphorus levels. Does anyone know what balances out the sulfur in the body?

thanks!

try Robert Morse www.godsherbs.com
(if you don't have a local naturopath or your naturopath doesn't know what to do) Dr. Morse is really good, he totally knows what he is doing and has no ego to make him difficult to deal with

your heart may be racing (IMHO) from a deficiency of fats. This is an unpopular opinion BUT I'm right... :)

Thomas Cowan wrote an article, based on twenty years of research, about how the right kinds of fats are necessary for proper cardiac functioning - I haven't found the article but if I do I will send you the link

Good luck, you'll get better.

Your post has bothered me since I read it this morning. I agree with the other answers.....get a good naturopath.

The part that has bugged me all day I guess is memories of going to doctors and not being heard. You sound like you are not getting heard. I don't know if this is a woman thing, or a dr-patient thing......but keep going until you get answers.

BTW: I still don't get heard by drs. If you looked thru my med history, you'd see a common thread for about 25 years...I'm tired. I also have felt hypoglycemic, although I register as "normal" on all blood tests. I went to the ER with chest pains 1-1/2 years ago....I had to cry and beg to get looked at....turned out not to be a heart attack...it was pneumonia...thankfully, it was pneumonia as I don't know what would have happened in the 7 hours it took to get a dr to look at me. With a back injury about 8 years ago (workmans comp), the dr wrote in my file that the pain was in my head...mainly because I refused the painkillers that were causing me not to be able to think!

I could go on with more such experiences...but I won't. My message is this: be sure to keep going until you get answers. It sounds like you have multiple issues/illnesses here which you may or may not be able to take care of yourself. Find a naturopath or similar type of doctor.....and get well!

ILD:

As for the candida, I would read the book "Sick and Tired" by Young. this is the "green diet" that gabriel cousens follows at the tree of life. there are actually so many non-sweet raw foods. try the tree of life rainbow green live food cuisine book for recipes.

fruits/foods that are not sweet: grapefruit, avocados, tomatos, coconuts and coconut water, stevia for sweetener, greens and nuts, peppers - red, yellow, orange..., sea vegetables

i wish you well on your path to healing. yes, it sounds like you do need a professional... my only other advice, a book i was introduced to from this site, is "ask and it is given"

this is the best book ever -- will help you to allow healing to come into your life... www.abraham-hicks.com

Ilovedaisies, welcome :)

If you have anorexia, this is first and foremost an emotional and mental issue. Whether or not you begin to eat normally, you still need guidance from professionals. I strongly urge you to seek professional help with this; they may also have answers for your reactions to food -- they are very real; I'm not dismissing your reality -- but your reactions/experiences may also be physical manifestations of psychological distortions.

All the best to you,

You might wish to look into Dr. Doug Graham's approach to candida which is to limit fats rather than sugars. This is assuming you're all raw, though, as the fats he's talking about are plant fats which the body assimilates differently than processed and animal fats. I used his method to treate my candida and it was gone within a few weeks. I did have a mild case, though, as evidenced by tests done by my holistic M.D.

Please stay on the raw path -- it is a way to complete and total healing.

Best wishes.
