Raw Thai food

Greetings,

I have been very interested in eating Thai food, is there a raw way to have this but raw?
I do have many questions about various food dishes (more posts to come) :D

I just want to be able to convert favorite "cooked" :eek: food foods/dishes,to raw.

If I remember correctly, there was a post here about Thai dishes and quite a few recipes given. You might wish to do a search on that and/or google for it. I KNOW I saw them posted somewhere and copy/saved them. I would check here first though.

I love Thai food and actually these restaurants have been the most accomodating, since all their veggies are fresh. However, it has taken quite a bit of explaining and they look at me like I'm crazy.

They usually always have the fresh veggie spring rolls and the spicy papaya salad. I usually order the dish with the most veggies and then explain to them how I don't want them sauteed, I want them not cooked at all.

This lady last time said well, she could do that, but I couldn't have the brown sauce because they have to cook that. She just kept saying if it's not cooked there is no taste. I understand her viewpoint...why come to a Thai restaurant if you aren't going to eat it Thai style, but hey, I just want what I want. So, that visit I had peanut sauce instead. I'm aware the sauces aren't 100% raw, but hey, if I'm eating what raw I can minus the sauces, it's almost 100% and that's good enough for me. Especially, when eating out. :)

I will look for a thai resturant in my area and see what raw accomidations i can obtain. Also this will give me the opprtunity to view there other dishes and tranform them to rawas well.
