Yeah, they no longer have them. The reason they were $24 is because they were discontinuing them.

All other places seem to sell them for $80 and up!

I just buy rolled oats from the source - they're not heated.. only rolled

No, I hadn't tried to access them today until after reading your post...but it appears they're just temporarily down for maintenance so try them again tomorrow or later in the week and they should be back up.

Rowan, I'd be curious too. Most commercially available rolled oats are steamed first.

I've been getting by just grinding oats in my coffee grinder, but I was thinking of getting a flaker/roller.

My question is, what do you do with the oats once they're flaked/rolled, do you just soak them for oatmeal? What's it like? Any other uses?

We have a grain supplier here in Portland who carries organic and other grains. I asked about the rolled oats and they said they were not heated at all, just run through a roller.

How I use them: I put them in my muesli mix and eat them for breakfast!

alissacohen.com sells raw rolled oats. I got this from rawlinlocs--soak over night, rinse, then add coconut butter, raisins,mashed banana, cinnamons to taste. eat and enjoy but I like mines but in the food processor this makes it creamy like cooked.
