Hi,
I love flax seed crackers but have heard recently of how unstable flax seeds can be once they are mixed and ground up; i guess they can mess up your DNA or something!! How do you guys make your flax crackers and what do you feel about the rancidity issue?? THanks!

I have never heard of anything like that, but I have heard that if you don't eat or make mass quantities of flax crackers, you may revert back into a "Full-fledged" SAD eater... :D :D .Just kidding...I could not stop myself. :D
I really have read nothing but good about flax seeds, oil, etc.
Try the search "banana" button up top.

I tried flax seed crackers and the seeds would start to feel slimy in my mouth. I didn't really care for them that much.

If the slimy-ness of the seeds bothers you, try grinding the seeds in a coffee grinder first and then make the crackers, adding water as needed to the mix.
