Date Nut Torte
Torte:
2 cups raisins
2 cups walnuts
Frosting:
1 cup dates, pitted and soaked
1/2 lemon, juiced
Instructions: Blend the raisons and walnuts in a food processor until well blended. Remove from processor and mold onto a plate about 1 1/2 inches thick. To make the frosting, process the dates and lemon juice until smooth.
Spread on the torte. You can eat as is or you can put it in the refrigerator to chill.

viver, tell me a little more about what you like. For example, do you like avocados?

vive, one thing I like to make is like a Mexican-influenced "salad", but heavier than what you might think of as a salad. I use fresh corn kernels, cut up avocado, sweet red pepper, some hot chiles, some nice onion, as in green onion, red onion, leek (avoid cooking onions in raw food IMO), some tomatoes, fresh cilantro cut up. Then I add a mexican chili powder spice blend, some lime juice-hemp oil vinaigrette, some raw salt and pepper, etc... You can serve it over lettuce leaves, on belgian endive leaves, or just eat it out of the bowl.

My fav dessert is taking banana and cutting it into slices. Put in a bowl.
In a seperate bowl take almond butter and an equal amount of agave (less if you don't like it as sweet). Add a little cinnamon to taste and raw cacao nibs ground into powder if you eat it. Stir together till it has a carmelly texture.
Pour over bananas. Add chopped walnuts and macademias (or other nuts). Eat and enjoy!
I had it for dessert today and loved it. I should have posted a pic :)
