I believe I read Jingee and Storm do not do so. I personally prefer food in it's whole form and wonder how many others here (if any) do not juice or dehydrate?

I don't tend to like dehydrated stuff myself. Everytime we make something, it just doesn't sit right with me.
On the other hand, I love juicing. So I eat whole raw food plus juices and smoothies.

I don't dehydrate because I don't have a dehydrator yet. I stopped juicing because it's a pain in the butt to clean up. I do drink smoothies occasionally, though.

I don't dehydrate b/c the one I had doesn't have a temp control. More so the fact that I prefer food whole too--don't get me wrong, I still would love to dehydrate. I am wheening of a juice fast and going into a water fast. I'm not crazy about juicing as I am starting to read more and more importance of the whole fruit and veggie itself. In the furture, I will just water fast not juice anymore.

I got into dehydrating for a few months during my first raw year. But I don't want it anymore. I do juice (I LOVE OJ) and I believe Storm does also as I got the OJ diet from him. I am big into smoothies these days because I can consume alot more fruit in a liquid form (more nutrients). Of course I eat alot of whole fruit and veggies also.
Peace.

I don't juice but I do make green smoothies in my blender.
I do have a dehydrator, but lately I haven't been using it all that much. When I do use it, it's usually for flax crackers or fruit leathers.

Oops! I should have said I heard they don't dehydrate. Not sure if they juice. Sorry about that...

I don't typically dehydrate, will occasionally make flax chips but other than that any dehydrating I do is for others to enjoy. I'm not overly fond of juicing but will make smoothies. I use my champion juicer to crush ice, make icecream, sorbets, and nut butters.

I don't have a dehydrator, so I don't dehydrate, and buying a juicer isn't very high on my list of must-haves either. If I want to drink my fruit/veggies, I'll make a smoothie.
I'd like to eventually get an excalibur, but I have limited funds so it'll probably be several months until then.

Hmmm...well... I had to really think about it. There was a time when I juiced often, but haven't done so much lately...cept for making some fresh orange juice for a recipe here and there. I do like to make fresh juices, just haven't been into it as much. As far as smoothies go, not so often anymore either...which is kinda strange cause I was a smoothie fiend at one point. And when it comes to dehydrating... I think it was about a year ago, or maybe more, that I made Gabriel Cousens' apple cinnamon bread a couple times, came out yummy too...but I lost interest back then. Lately, I've been making stocks of flax crackers and making nuts crispy again sometimes after soaking them...right now got some sweet and salty pecans drying :) I'd actually like to try my hand at more dehydrating to see if it's "really for me" at the point where I am right now. But...I guess I do tend to like my foods whole and fresh more often than not. ...now you've got me really thinking! lol
I just got a dehydrator and juicer as a gift. Dehydrated fruit is a great occasional treat and is convenient when you travel or spend a whole day at the university, but I'm finding that I prefer my fruits whole. I have a hand juicer right now so that I can make fresh orange/tangerine juice every morning. I love that because I do not like eating citrus fruits at all- I just want the juice!

I rarely dehydrate; juice oranges daily ~ sometimes up to three times daily. Rarely if ever juice anything else. Mostly smoothies w/ oj base.

I don't dehydrate very often anymore, I've not liked most of the main dishes I tried so I don't try anymore! I don't like flax crackers either, but I do make fruit leather (love it!) and dry fruit like bananas or apples on occasion. Also rawnola every once in a while.
Now for juicing, I have orange and/or grapefruit juice daily and use an electric citrus juicer for this. I don't do veggie juices very often, I do like them but I do not like the clean-up of the juicer!
And I do have at least a quart of green smoothie a day... yum!

I've been in a long phase of not juicing. At least 6 months. I will make soups occasionally in the blender or food processor, but the juicer's been put away.
I still usually dehydrate on Saturday mornings only, just to make a few convenient things to get through the week, and to concentrate some flavors for some more gourmet tastes. There are some yummies I have no desire of parting with!

I dehydrate but don't have a juicer, nor want to juice. I'm sure it's great, but I love the tactile experience of eating the food in it's whole state...plus there's the added fibre as well.
Also, doesn't the juice from the veg/fruits raise the sugar level of it with the fibre removed? I just want to keep an eye on my sugar levels so that they don't spike all over the place...I thought maybe juicing would cause blood sugar to spike more.

i love dehydrated food like crackers and chips, i mean LOVE LOVE LOVE them. but i don't make them because every time i do, i majorly overeat. it's like they taste sooooo good that i can't stop eating them. occasionally i will make taco shells or a pizza crust if i am preparing food to take to a bbq (which are always a hit, even when most of the people aren't veg or raw!), but for myself, i never dehydrate anymore.
as far as juicing, i juice a ton. almost exclusively vegetable juices, and i usually do them twice a day. i drink juices as a supplement now to my other greens and vegetable juices, but originally i began juicing because when i first went raw i didn't have a huge interest in salads or vegetables unless they were in a dish like raw pasta. i tend to be a pretty light eater, so i feel they are a valuable part of my diet to help get nutrients.

I just started dehydrating and I don't like it at all. I haven't made one thing I liked. That appliance is going back in the closet.
However, I love smoothies. I have a vita-mixer which I use everyday and a champion juicer that I use to make ice cream. I very rarely press juice. But every once in a while I will add juice to my smoothies. Before I was raw, I used the champion to press carrots to make burgers. I cooked them of course. I can't stand them in the dehydrator. You can't beat the champion for ice cream.
I believe in eating whole fruits and veggies and the vita-mixer let's me do that. Pressing most fruit is too much sugar with out the fiber to slow absorption. I love getting all the pulp, fiber and vitamins. But that's just me.

Absolutely..this is the biggest problem with juicing for most people. It spikes your insulin levels. I know there are people who swear by juicing and if it works for you, great; so don't write me and tell me I'm wrong...:). But for the majority of people, they're far better off eating fruits in there whole state so that they get the added benefit of the fiber. Juicing is almost totally devoid of fiber. Eating fruit whole is far better for your body and your insulin. Nature made it whole......not juiced. I look at it this way..in the wild, animals don't juice it, they eat it whole. So should we.

I have not used my dehydrater. I have an older one that does'nt have a timer/temp controller on it.
but I do juice - it's great to use while doing types of fastings. Down side of it is: cleaning it stinks.

I have 3 dehydraters going almost 24/7, making crackers, breads, fruit leather, pizza crusts, cakes, mushrooms, herbs, spices, etc. you name it, it's in there.
and I have about 5 different kinds of juicers, citrus juicers, the vita Mix, the champion, a salton centrifugal juicer, etc.
and I hardly ever use them to make juice.
I make berry and orange juice smoothies occasionally, mostly in strawberry season, and I do use my champion to make banana ice cream for freinds who stop in.
my hubby makes me orange juice most mornings, but I don't even know which juicer he uses, probably the electric citrus juicer
