i was hoping some of you could provide some guidance with the following questions.

1. after soaking nuts, does anyone drink the water that they were soaked in?
it would seem to me that the water would be chock full of enzymes. this thought might be counterintuitive though, so thought i'd check.
2. should i soak seeds (pumpkin, sesame, flax) as well?
3. how many nuts and/or seeds do you have at a time? i know nuts are supposed to be very hard to digest.

aside: i'm back to day three raw, thank god. experiencing flashes of non-raw food, but keep telling myself that "this too shall pass." it will get easier. in the mean time, whenever a thought pops into my head, i must recoil from it as if from as hot flame. when i start to indulge in the fantasy, it's just a step toward a binge.

Answers to this can go on and on, but following is some general info. I'm sure others on here will chime in with more on it. You can also use the lil banana up top to do some searching on the topic.

1. One point to soaking nuts is to help remove their enzyme inhibitors, which is what will be in your soaking water, so...no, please don't drink that. You'll need to rinse your nuts with a fresh batch of water after you've initially soaked them.

2. pumpkin seeds (6 hours), seasame (4 hours), flax (6 hours)

3. Most nuts tend to be easier to digest after their enzyme inhibitors have been removed...by soaking them first.
