Does anyone know any recipies to help cure the flu. This is my first day doing this raw foods thing so, I haven't eaten a lot of raw foods. I feel sick as a dog right now. Any help would be great. thanks.

Yes! I was just reading in a book a recipe for the flu or cold:
4 oranges (peeled, but leave the white pith)
1 med. sized papaya
Drink the blend 3 times a day and abstain from all other foods.

Be sure to read the Detox thread in the "Need to know more about raw foods" forum here.
There is no "cure" for flu symptoms...you just want to allow your body to do what it needs to do to cleanse, which is exactly what it is trying to do.
Rest whenever you can and try to not eat heavy foods, but eat lightly and drink water, fresh-made juices.
You'll feel better soon...just try not to suppress what your body is doing with any medications, etc.

I would stay well hydrated (water, juices).
If you need food, make a green smoothie.
Some miso soup would be nice. You could make miso broth and let some ginger and garlic seep for a while to release their flavor into it. Strain.
Other additions that I like are cayenne and daikon. Sip throughout the day.
Get lots of rest and try to avoid stress.
Hope you feel better soon. :)

Our whole family came down with it earlier this month and did very well with blended green smoothies, juices & teas. I also had a craving for plain lettuce! Thats all we had and fared very well so hang in there.

wpa , to me the less i eat the sooner i can flush out the germs and the toxic slush their feeding on . so i go on liquid diet which would seem to help in washing out the toxic slush pool , and dont eat anything solid which would seem to clog up and thusly slow down the flush out process , and because of so many people over the years believing in vita c against viruses i drink warm water with fresh lemon juice squeezed in , the lemon juice also for me has a appetite quelling property to it so works out perfect . good day

Personally, I would go with Michigan Roman's. Any sickness or dis-ease is a signal the body is cleansing of toxic waste. The body is far more intelligent than the brain is actually!!! It knows how and when to rid of any invaders.
If it were me, I would go on a water fast. Read somewhere too that drinking plain distilled (not sure how particular you are of your plain water intake) water every half an hour, drink as much as you require even if you do not feel up to it, take a sip every half an hour and the body will do the rest. Leave the flushing to the body while you rest and not to forget to drink every half an hour.
my best to you ~ aisah
