What's everyone's favorite type of date?

This year, I bought two boxes of BARHI dates.

OH MY GOSH! These things taste just like sweet, creamy caramel. They are so soft and good you don't even have to soak them.

where did you get the Barhi dates and how much did they cost? We only get the Mojoh(sp?) dates there in Mobile, AL

I bought mine near Palm Springs at the Oasis Date Gardens. I like theirs because they are organic. I bought 12 pounds for $35.99. I'm not sure what shipping will be because I physically went and picked mine up.

I think Brown's Date Gardens has them too, but I'm not sure of their prices. You can do a google search on organic barhi dates and see what you get?
Also, often, if you ASK, they have last year's crop for less. Not quite as soft, but still great.

We usually buy Honey dates from The Date People in Niland, CA. Honey dates are awesome too! This is all we use now. And all of their dates are organic. For honey dates, they charge $38.00 for 15lbs. - which comes out to only $2.53/lb. Very very reasonable for organic dates!
