on a good note i have ordered Alissas book. i am hoping it will make me feel positive and i am looking forward to trying out new things.
i saw some recipes for courgettes, you can eat the whole of them right or should they be peeled and what about the middle with the seeds? sorry, are also baby sweetcorn ok to eat raw too? sorry. i am totally dense and i am not into food or cooking so this is all brand new and unusual for me, but i want to do this.

hang in there your body is detoxing. day 3-7 was really bad for me, after that I had energy to spare!!! Alissa's book and DVD is great and I am having creating her recipes. They are really good but watch out some deserts are really rich, I will over eat ;D. Maybe reading my journal will help you a little.

lil fairy girl, hang in there. Don't be sorry for asking questions, we all have them! We don't mind. Detox can be hard, but your body is ridding itself of toxins, and the effect is being stuffed up, etc. It's very tiring on your body because it's working hard to heal itself. So it's all good, don't worry. It won't last forever and it will be worth it! You will get your energy back.

I only wanted to add to try and remember to drink lots of water. That will help.

The beginning can be difficult - it is like a withdrawal from an addiction. But once you are free from it, the rewards are substantial. I remember when I went completely raw for the first time, I was really hurting for a few days in the beginning. I craved everything bad: chocolate, sugar, breads (that was the hardest) and I felt sick - kind of like what you are describing. But then, several weeks down the line, I remember realizing that I hadn't thought about chocolate or bread in a long time. It never entered my mind. I felt free from my cravings. I never realized what a hold they had on me. Isn't that funny?

We can all identify with what you are experiencing at one level or another. Just hang in there, and know that the end is definitely worth the means.

Hi little fairy girl. I am not much farther along than you, as this is day 5 for me. The second and third day were my worst days. Like you I had sinus problems. My head hurt and I was draining, well, actually mostly the stuff was just sitting in my nose and throat...yuck! My body ached and I felt those same flu symptoms. I didn't know if I was getting sick, it was the detox or caffeine withdrawal. The third day was a little better and yesterday was much better. Today I am feeling soooo much better. So this is all to say you are on the right track. My advice is to be kind to yourself now. There is a lot of support on this board and they will get us through it!
