I can't do anything healthy for 30 days. I am an addict and all or nothing thinking gets me every time. But do you know what I can do? I can go raw for one day. I can do anything for one day. And perhaps the next day I will want to do it again. I am committing to this forum that I am going to eat raw tomorrow. Just tomorrow. Today I bought ingredients for a raw day. For just one day. I'll report back to this thread end of day tomorrow. I had better hit "sumbit new thread" before I change my mind.

I think that's great. If 30 days feels too much for you, then do a one day challenge. I think that is a wonderful idea.
I'm a returning raw foodist and am struggling as well to do 30 days raw...so I think that I'll start right with you on Monday...should be Sunday, but I'm going to start on Monday being a whole raw day!
Good luck and please update how you did. I'm confident that you can do this!

Pam, I love that! A one day challenge! That's exactly what I will be doing. I love the way you framed that. Please post the results of your one day challenge Monday evening.

Pam,
Love your name btw! :) Great name you've got there! Finally another Pam posting!
I am very excited to do this! I am going to take this one day challenge head on and try to get others excited about doing just a one day challenge.
We can do this one day at a time, right?!
I'm in and hope you'll be along for the ride as well.
I'm excited to see how you do and am very confident that you will do great for your one day challenge!

Pam - you are so 'right on'.
I have several "Just For Today" things posted on my wall that I read and keep in my mind as the day goes along. I'm not making it a challenge, per se, I am just Doing them, one day at a time.
Just for today ...
... I AM Happy and Joyful
... I AM Spontaneous and Uninhibited
... I AM Kind to every living thing
... I AM Grateful for all my blessings
... I AM Honoring and Learning from my teachers
... I AM Doing my work with Appreciation
... I AM Monitoring my thoughts and Focusing on the Positive
... I AM Contributing to my good health by eating 100% raw vegan food
What I've found is it is amazing how fast those "one days" add up. Best of luck to ya!

My DH was on the computer last night so I couldn't report. I got through my one day challenge. I felt fine yesterday, but woke up this a.m. feeling queezy and headachy. I went to the Y, as I do most mornings, and had a good workout, so that helped. I have b'fast and lunch prepared for another one day challenge today.
Good luck with your one day challenge, Pam. For me, one day at a time is the way to go.

I am glad you found a way that works for you. A day at a time ! I would think a great challenge for you would be to say, or as someone pointed out, put it on a wall, mirror fridge...
I CAN do anything healthy for 30 days
You can achieve what you believe. So believe you CAN...eventually it will happen...
Remember the childrens book about the little train that said I think i can, I think I can..what a powerful book to read to a child, and also to read as an adult !!!!!!!

Thanks, for your suggestion, Rawfigure. Many of us 12-steppers just need to take things one day at a time. There will be plenty on this board who can take long challenges. Some of us, though, are more comfortable just concentrating on today.

Pam,
I did it! I did it for one day! It's my new theme...ONE DAY AT A TIME! Or a One Day Challenge!
I think I did great. I was so tired from staying up so late the night before, but I did ALL raw and got some real great recipes to eat for the next few days!
Here's what I had:
Banana
Green smoothie with romaine lettuce, grapes, banana and orange
A few carrots with Indian spinach dip
A red bell pepper with Indian spinach dip
Pineapple-Cucumber Gazpacho
Chinese broccoli with peanuts
Sweet Annie Kale Salad
So, I'm at the close of my ONE DAY CHALLENGE and it's done! I did it! I feel so good and empowered!
Pam, thank you for posting your challenge in not being able to do the 30 days in a row!
I cannot wait to see how tomorrow goes for both of us!
Wow! It's working! I'm back on the right path!! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! I am so thrilled!

Pam, I haven't been on the computer in a day or so due to work schedule. I am so proud of you. I think the one day at a time method is going to be the way for me. Great job, Pam.

Both Pam's on the same thread it's hard to know who you all are talking to. :)
But, I'm glad to see many others relate to the one day at a time thing.
It has helped me alot.
I even added it to my siggy, it's a daily reminder!
