I have been hearing a lot about Larabars and how they are 100% raw. I used to eat them all the time until I found out that not only were they not organic but they had cocoa powder in them which to some experts is not raw but heated and processed.
Can someone please tell me about these Larabars? What about the ThinkOrganic bars? I don't see anything in those that is not raw all the way. Can someone tell me about those please.
Any info will do.

I would love to know the same! Especially as I'm sitting here with a Lara bar in hand! I don't know if you've been to the site or not www.larabar.com.
However, I quote from the FAQ:
LäraBar is a delicious blend of unsweetened fruits, nuts and spices. Made from 100% whole raw food, each flavor contains no more than 2 to 6 ingredients.
Also:
Are cashews and cocoa truly raw?
Heat steaming is often used to extract the cashew nut from the fruit of the tree. Its not known for certain whether or not the nut is actually heated during the process. Regardless, we feel that cashews are healthful and fit into a healthy diet.
Cocoa powder is ground from a roasted cocoa bean. While LäraBar uses cocoa powder mainly as a spice, we feel the health benefits, including high antioxidant content, far outweigh the fact that cocoa has been heated.
This doesn't seem to address the organic issue, however, I bet you could contact them from their site and they'd let you know! If you do let me know!
P.S.~I'm editing to add that I've just been on the ThinkOrganic site and it seems that most their ingrediants are organic. They mention in the list of ingredients that the nuts, say, are raw but don't list any of the other products as raw. So I don't know if these could be considered 100% raw, either. Again...website: www.thinkproducts.com.

Here is a rather lengthy discussion on LaraBars: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8206&highlight=LaraBars
Also, not all of them have cocoa powder in them.

Don't most of these things contain three ingredients? How about making your own? They sound extremely simple.

Thanks for the info. Read the long thread on Larabars and got some great ideas to make my own. I have really tried to stay away from any of these bars except when I get a chocolate craving. So......will have to just decide if it is worth it for me every once in awhile.
Namaste,
