I really did it!!! I moved to the west coast...my first stop was Cafe Gratitude! I LOVE IT! Looking for other restaurants in the San Fran area, also raw food friends would be spectacular! Oh, I forgot....does anyone know about a raw foods library (you can check out books for a fee)? I thought I read or heard something about this. Thanks
God Bless,

I'm not in SF per say - I'm in Redwood City, which is a little further south (about 20 miles or so). I went to Cafe Gratitude last weekend for the first time and it ROCKED! My husband, on the other hand (who is still a SAD omnivore) wasn't quite as thrilled as I was.
Another great place in SF that I've heard wonderful things about, although I've never been there myself, is a restuarant called Alive! Here is their website: http://www.aliveveggie.com/
Where did you move here from? And how are you adjusting?
:)
Welcome Ashley ! I am in the Oakland area, 15 minutes from San Francisco. I have been to Alive ! and Cafe Gratitude and I have enjoyed both restaurants. Cafe Gratitude is also opening a new restaurant in the Berkeley area during the first week of February. Cafe Muse, which is another restaurant that prepares a few raw dishes, is located in the the UC Berkeley Mueseum and there is also a Raw Energy Bar in Berkeley as well. Its not a place where you can sit - its pretty much for individuals on the go.
A great majority of the raw restaurants here in California are located in the south (Los Angeles, Santa Monica etc.) It may be fun to take a road trip to some of these places .......... :)
I have included a link to some of the restaurants here in CA -

Also, in San Francisco, San Mateo and Burlingame, you can find fresh prepared raw food. The kitchen who makes it is "QueSeRawSeRaw". She delivers to Rainbow Grocery in San Francisco (her food is in the cold section near the cheeses - ask if you don't see it, as sometimes they will have extra in the back). In San Mateo her food is at Trag's. In Burlingame her food is at Earthbeam.
She also has a website, which I think is queseraw.com or queserawseraw.com
The kale salad is delicious!
Welcome to San Francisco Bay Area. I live in Pacifica.
