Hi there everyone!

I'm a mum of 3 from BC, Canada. I've been high raw since November of last year. Basically I'm just doing it because it feels right. I've been vegetarian for a long time, then vegan, and my body seems to have been leading me to raw since early last summer. It's been a fun and interesting journey so far. My kids and hubby are eating mostly vegetarian, with chicken or fish probably only once a month, and a LOT of fresh fruits and veg, lol. I'm still nursing my littlest one, he's almost 1 year old. I've been skimming around this forum for a little while, and it seems there are some wonderful supportive people here, with great tips for day-to-day life, so I thought I should join and become a part of this community.

I'm going to just jump right in with a few questions, hope that's okay.

First off, I worry about my nutrition, since I'm still nursing. I think I get a good mix of fruits and veg in a day, I usually have greens+ (which is probably not raw, but is more within my budget than other green foods I've seen) and some Udo's oil during the day as well. I generally have an avocado a day, too. Should I take a multivitamin? I plugged an average day into Fitday, and I was really lacking in calcium, as well as low on calories. Is there something I can do to up my calcium intake? The low calories don't seem to be affecting my energy level, and I certainly haven't lost any weight, but could it be harmful to my son? My milk supply has been great since I've been eating this way.
Could someone please take a look at my journal and see if they can give me some suggestions on foods I can add in, or any way I can improve what I'm doing?

Second, I'm going back to work in a few weeks (I've been on mat leave). I'm a maternity RN, and I work shift work, 12 hour days and nights. Are there any articles floating around the net in regards to raw eating patterns and shift work? I know that when working, I really require different foods at different times of the day, and I had my pattern nicely worked out for my regular diet, but I'm concerned about maintaining my energy levels and sleep needs while working and eating raw.

I have plenty more questions, but I'll leave it at that for now. I'm so excited to be a part of this group. :) Nice to meet you all.

good calcium sources are raw brocoli or spinach on own or in salads . also sprinkle alot of sesame seeds on salads (besides calcium it makes em more filling ) , or grind up say 1/3 cup sesame seeds to add to sweet type ,like banana , smoothies . almonds and dark greens are also good calcium sources . you could make almond milk, and trail mix with alot of almonds . use almond milk for smoothies . and also dont cheer against the red wings when they come there to play the canucks and thatll really raise your calcium level :D

Make sure that those sesame seeds still have their hulls. Dont buy the white ones.
